Another edition of our Retro Corner, this time with 80's M.A.R.R.S. - PUMP UP THE VOLUME. This track was released in 1987 and was written by M. Young.

Now I dont know how old you guys are, most of you kidz are pretty young but let me tell you. Old farts like ourselves have been blown away by 80s house music, it was revolutionary! Actually thanks to people like M.A.R.R.S. a lot of hip hop producers who loved sampling started doing house music with stacks of samples in them. As a sample addict myself I consider this stuff, this era, to be the start of where we are now, considering house music.
